 James Stark will educate and inspire as he takes you through our 17-acre farm nestled on the edge of Pt Reyes National Park. He will guide you through features like our on-contour production garden, cob constructions, chickens and goats, heirloom orchard, grey water systems, passive solar camp showers, production greenhouse, yurt classroom, and more.

As you tour these features, James will highlight how permaculture principals can be applied in your own life to create sustainable and regenerative home and community environments.

Join us one Sunday a month for a wild food walk in and around Commonweal Garden. Learn the many uses of the seasonal flora - edible, medicinal, and more. Each walk will include important information on safety and how to 'tend the wild' in a responsible way. Join us for a wander, and finish the day with some hands-on processing of nature's bounty.

Explore the wildlife and natural history of the coastal landscapes through the perspective of holistic tracking and awareness. Learn routines of sensory awareness that have been used by trackers for thousands of years that foster a deep and powerful relationship with place.

Come learn the ancient practice of harvesting and processing acorns - the sacred food of the native peoples of California. Learn which oaks are best to gather acorns from, when to gather, and how to process acorns into food. We will be making acorn mush the old way with hot cooking rocks, also pit baking breads, and making ash cakes on the coals.
